Plan around the intended schedule

The useful starting point is not simply the travel dates. It is the events you expect to play, possible Day 2s, backup tournaments and whether cash games are part of the plan.

Choose the stay deliberately

• Travel time to the relevant venues
• A room setup that supports sleep and longer stays
• Food and essentials available at practical hours
• Enough flexibility if the playing schedule changes

Avoid an overloaded itinerary

Tournament days are unpredictable. We place dinners, shows, golf and group plans where they add to the trip instead of creating pressure between sessions.
